About UsThe Yummy Tummy Café has been servicing the Atlanta Metro area for over 14 years. A member of the United States Personal Chef’s Association, The Yummy Tummy Café has been feeding happy customers with delicious already prepared meals in their homes and gift certificates sold via the internet since 2003.
With over 30 years of professional food service experience, Chef Paula started her culinary career as the owner of Proud Paula’s Kitchen in Brunswick/St. Simons Island, Georgia in the early 1970’s. Weddings and dinner parties formed much of the “Kitchen’s” early fare, and her catering and wholesale side of the business was utilized by many individuals and restaurants along the Southeastern coast, from Jacksonville, Florida to Savannah, Georgia. Among those institutional customers were the King & Prince Beach Hotel and Alfonzo’s Supper Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia, Dane’s Restaurant of Jacksonville, Florida, and The River Street Grill of Savannah, Georgia. During this time, Brown’s Guide to Georgia, a restaurant guide-book of the time, wrote excellent reviews of the desserts, made by Chef Paula, at these restaurants.
In the mid 1980’s, Paula moved her business to Atlanta for a more centralized location, and broadened her dessert business into a more targeted area. Catering began to take a back seat, as her new business began to grow into an institutional dessert house, selling to food service providers, restaurants, hotels and grocery chains. Winn-Dixie, Brunos, A&P, Big Star and Kroger carried her brand names of Paula’s Ultimate Cheesecake and Basically Elegant Cheesecake lines; both of which received favorable critical reviews, including “Best Cheesecake in Atlanta” by Atlanta Magazine.
Chef Paula attended The Culinary Institute of the South, and holds past affilliations with the United States Culinary Professionals, The United States Professional Chef’s Association, and is currently a member of the United States Personal Chef’s Association. She also holds certification with The National Registry Of Food Safety Professionals as a Food Safety Manager, as well as a separate ServeSafe food safety Certification.
This year, Chef Paula has decided to take The Yummy Tummy Café Services to another level for her customer by offering three new services. Our Gift Basket Service is truly an innovation for our customers. As a consumer, you may choose from a selection of ready-made Gift Baskets, or actually build your own Gift Baskets to your specifications. Choose from over 2,000 items for your gift basket, including giftware, food items, plush animals, and even bake-to-order; ship-to-order items.. The Yummy Tummy Café will then take your selections and assemble your Gift Basket, decorate it, pack it and ship it for you! Gift Baskets have never been easier! Need 100 or 1,000 Gift Baskets for a corporate event or function? Just give adequate notice, and we can deliver! Small or large, we can help you build a Gift Basket for any occasion that will delight any recipient.
The next Yummy Tummy Service is our new on-line Gourmet Foods Shop. Who knows quality better than a Chef? Browse through our food selections and see descriptions and comments from Chef Paula on the items she has personally chosen for this Gourmet Food Shop. Choose from hundreds of Gourmet Food items, including our Hand Mixed Gourmet Teas and Freshly Roasted Coffees. You will receive our Freshly Roasted Coffee within 48 hours of roasting! All of our Hand Mixed Gourmet Teas are mixed on-premise for you as well!
The third new Yummy Tummy Service is our new on-line Gifts Shop. Our Gifts Shop includes sets of mugs, dishware, baby gifts, bridal gifts, teapots, coffee & tea accessories, home accessories and more! Take some time to choose some lovely gifts for you and for your gift-giving needs. We ship all items UPS to your door! We will even hand-write your greeting on your chosen gift-card.
